The Women Divers Hall of Fame, which annually awards scholarships and training grants to female divers looking to become dive professionals, has added a pair of categories to its 2017 slate.
The two new categories are the “Instructor Advanced Education Scholarship” and the “NAUI Scuba Leadership Training Grant.”
Those are in addition to the current roster, including: Marine Conservation; Undergraduate Marine Research; Underwater Archaeology; Journalism, Graphic Arts, or Photography; Marine or Underwater Education; Public Safety Diving; Dive Medicine; Underwater Photography; Basic Dive Training; Advanced Dive Training; Hardhat Dive Training; Diver Medic Training; Disabled Diver Training; and Dive Training for Students in ROTC, JROTC, Military Academy, or Sea Cadets.
From those new and current categories, WDHOF will award 33 scholarships or training grants.
The application process is now open, and the submission deadline is November 18th, 2016 at midnight U.S. Eastern Standard Time. WHDOF will notify applicants of their award status by February 1st, 2017.
