Women’s World Record Planned At Divetech Grand Cayman

Divetech Grand Cayman is planning to smash its own world record of the longest female underwater chain on Women’s Dive Day 2019.

The current record was set at Divetech in July 2018, where 86 women linked hand to hand to create the longest female underwater chain. This year, Divetech plans to smash that record with more than 100 women taking part.

The event last year raised more than US$3,000/~£2,418/~€2,674 for the Cayman Islands Breast Cancer Foundation, as well as raising the profile of women in diving.

The project has the full backing of Divetech owner Joanna Mikutowicz, who has long championed the role of women in the dive industry.

The July 20th, 2019 event is open to everyone. However, if you are interested, you will have to pre-register.

You can email for more information here or check out a video of the 2018 record below.
