Whilst diving (of all types) still is seen very much as a macho and manly set of sports, it’s refreshing to see articles like the one just published on Huffington Post – 10 Female Scuba Divers Who Are Showing The World How It’s Done.
Featuring divers such as her “Deepness” Dr Sylvia Earle, Shark Conservationist Ocean Ramsey, Scuba Diver Life’s Nadia Aly, Emmy Award Winning Underwater Director and Photographer Becky Kagan Schott and Technical Diver Gemma Smith to name a few of the amazing women featured.
All the women featured are showing the world “how it’s done” by showing the beauty and fragility of our underwater world. As the HuffPo article says “Who said mermaids didn’t exist?”
