France’s Alice Modolo set a new Constant Weight with Bi-fins (CWTBF) women’s world record on Day 5 of the Vertical Blue 2021 freediving competition at Dean’s Blue Hole in the Bahamas.
Modolo dove to 95m/312ft in 3mins 12 secs, besting her own national record 92m/302ft, 3mins 19secs dive from Day 2.

Additionally, five more national records were set on Day 5, with Kehan Pan of China setting a new national Constant Weight with Monofin (CWT) record.
Pan bested his Day 1 national record with a 72m/236ft, 2mins 25secs dive.
Also among the men, Mexico’s Pepe Salcedo set a national Free Immersion (FIM) record with a 96m/315ft dive in 3mins 25secs. Taiwan’s Yun-Chieh Kuh dove to 90m/295ft in 3mins 20secs to set a new national CWTBF record, and Peru’s Juani Valdivia set a CWT record with a 67m/220ft, 2mins 5secs dive.
South Africa’s Talya Davidoff set a women’s national Constant Weight No Fins (CNF) record with a 45m/148ft, 2mins 15secs dive.
