The Divers Alert Network has announced that Craig Cook M.D. has joined its board of directors.
Cook brings a wealth of experience to the DAN board. He is a DAN referral physician, dive instructor, and technical diver, with significant experience caring for patients in isolated locations. Cook’s medical specializations include:
- Anesthesiology.
- Undersea and hyperbaric medicine.
- Sports medicine.
- Wilderness medicine.
Over his career, Cook has served as diving medical officer on various expeditions around the world including the Phoenix Islands, Antarctica, and Line Island.
According to DAN President and CEO Bill Ziefle:

Craig Cook is a lifelong adventurer and explorer, and he understands the risks divers face.
