David King wears the Constant Weight crown again

TheBritish Freediving Association is pleased to announce a new UK record in theMen’s Constant Weight discipline. On Sunday 24th August 2008, at the AIDA 2008World Team Freediving Championship Pre-Competition, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt,David King completed a performance of 80 metres. The new record beats theprevious one of 78 metres, set in November 2007, also by David King.

David has held previous Britishrecords in Static Apnea and Dynamic Apnea. David is part of Freediving TeamGB,who are about to compete in the main World Team Championship starting on the1st September 2008. The Pre-Competition has given team athletes a chance tocompete as individuals in a number of disciplines, and David is the secondBritish athlete to set a national record there.
