Divers Alert Network (DAN) has signed a strategic partnership with the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) to allow NAUI members to have access to training materials in a cobranded capacity and also the knowledge-base literature of DAN to help supplement programs with DAN’s backing.
The partnership will allow NAUI members to have expanded capabilities in educating divers about diving safety and first aid. DAN is looking forward to this expanded role and knows it will benefit not only NAUI members, but also the diving community as a whole.

DAN also has released a new dual cylinder oxygen kit in a soft case backpack. The kit is sold with one cylinder, but offers the opportunity to add another cylinder for those that would like a more portable and a smaller package for extended oxygen delivery. This is an easier option for small boats that need the added duration of oxygen delivery and instructors that find the large hard case difficult to manage while carrying other gear.
DAN has expanded their slate and educational literature lines. Best of the news is, these are free. Enhanced Emergency Assistance planning and practical predive tips slates are an asset to divers and instructors alike. Contact DAN to grab the goods.
Additionally, DAN has brought back the “Giant Stride” magazine that supplemented the student programs of the past. This welcome asset will help new students better understand DAN and some basic diving health needs. Make sure you get a supply for your students to have in your next course.
