Freediver Stanislaw Odbiezalek To Attempt World Record Under-Ice Swim This Weekend

-

Poland’s Stanislaw Odbiezalek this coming weekend will attempt a world record under-ice swim, using a monofin and only in Speedos.

Odbiezalek will attempt a swim of 105 meters/344ft.

Odbiezalek was inspired to do the attempt by South Africa’s Amber Fillary, who set an under-ice no fins in a bikini world record in 2020, and plans to set two new records this coming weekend as well.

While Stig Severinsen set a Guinness World Record for his 76.2 meter/250ft swim under the ice without fins in a speedo back in 2013, no one to date has done it with a monofin, something Odbiezalek wants to do.
