IANTD to use Diviac for its online dive logbooks

The International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers recently announced a partnership with Diviac for logging dives online and in the cloud.

With Diviac, IANTD-certified divers will now be able to log their dives using their smartphones, tablets or laptops and will also be able to upload their data directly from their dive computers. Those logs would then be synced across devices and backed up in the cloud so that divers can access them wherever they are and whenever they want.

IANTD divers will also be able to access Diviac’s online community of divers, instructors and even dive shops to connect, follow each others’ activities and stay in touch.

Another benefit of the new partnership will be that IANTD instructors will be able to log their training dives and directly send validated logs to their students’ logbooks. Additionally, certified divers will be able to mutually validate each other’s logs.

Luis Augusto Pedro, COO of IANTD, said:

“We’re very happy about this partnership, this simplifies the way our instructors help students log their dives and makes it easy for them to stay in touch with their students. Now instructors can use pre-filled log templates for course dives and share them with their students with just one click. Divers on the other hand get a great tool to keep in touch with their instructors and dive buddies, learn more about new trips, courses and events.”

Diviac CEO Joel Perrenoud said:

“We’re proud to be powering the new way IANTD divers are keeping track of their dives and courses. The partnership with IANTD is a big milestone in the digitalization of the scuba industry. We’re happy to see that innovative agencies are on our same wavelength to make this industry more modern and attractive.”

Divers or instructors can access their new Diviac logbook via the IANTD website. After registering, they’ll have free access to the premium version for one year, after which they can either renew it for a year for US$9.99/9.31 Euros or keep using the basic version for free.
