News fromCayman and the PFI team report a slow start with team members suffering fromcolds, flu and sore muscles. Training in the last ten days has been reported asslow with even the coaches suffering from illness.

The successof Rob King’s CNF to 53 metres yesterday has improved morale for the Americansas seen in performances by other members of the American team reaching theirtarget depths. Craig Gentry sailed down to his 50 metre CWT dive along withDavid Sims doing a Free Immersion dive to 45 metres, and Jessica Wilsonperformed a CWT to 62 metres. A good day for the Americans in spite of themalso suffering from colds and generally feeling under the weather.

CarolinaSchrappe from Brazil completed her CNF dive to 35 metres and cheers have beenseen from the Brazilian forums egging her on to the finish.

JunkoKitahama still maintains her star performance for Japan setting a new nationalrecord yesterday with a Constant No-Fins dive to 43m, and all fins are crossedfor the speedy recovery of the health of the Canadian team.
