South Carolina – The BBC is reporting the discovery of a new shark species peculiar to Atlantic waters off South Carolina. The discovery is attributed to Dr. Joe Quattro of the University of South Carolina. The as-yet unnamed shark, which resembles the scalloped hammerhead, was never seen before and was immediately judged in danger of extinction.
