Emperor Divers have recognized a third COVID hero with a free Red Sea liveaboard trip.
The initiative was started in February and aims to reward and acknowledge divers who have gone above and beyond during the pandemic and positively impacted their community.
The latest winner is Berlin-based music therapist Megumi Gotada. She was nominated by two of her colleagues, which shows the level of impact she has had. In her nomination statement, Gotada is described as follows:
“She is working as a music therapist in a hospital in Berlin at the covid department, playing the lyre for people who are suffering of severe complications. It was her free choice to accept to work in the covid department, and she decided to do so, although her family and friends strongly tried to prevent her from doing so.”
There are still five COVID awards up for grabs, and all you need to do to nominate someone is submit a 100/200-word statement about them as well as a recent photo of them.
