Herbert Nitsch has has announced on his website that he is preparing for the most ambitious freediving project ever. He plans to make a no-limits dive to no less than 250 metres in June 2008. A documentary will follow his dive to 250 metres and he also plans to break the current Variable Weight Record of 140 metres deep, held by Venezuelan freediver Carlos Coste.
Herbert says his ultimate goal is still 300 metres, and only human physiology will determine the outcome.
