44 year old man swims across highest lake in the world

A 44- year-old man has become the first person to swim across the world’s highest navigable lake in Peru.  Ruben Medina, has swum Lake Titicaca without stopping. Lake Titicana is some 12km across and 3000 metres above sea level. This is first time that some one has managed this from start to finish.  Mr Medina received support from the entire province and the BBC.
