A Lengthy Smooch: Freediving Couple Sets Guinness World Record For Longest Underwater Kiss

-

A freediving couple has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest underwater kiss.

Beth Neale from South Africa and Miles Cloutier from Canada kissed for 4 minutes 6 seconds in the infinity pool at the LUX* Resort in the Maldives.

The two met almost five years ago in Bermuda, and currently live in South Africa with their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. They undertook the record to inspire people to fall in love with the ocean, as well as to grow the sport of freediving.

The record was achieved in accordance with Pure Apnea’s static breath hold standards.

Check out a video of their feat below.
