Day 2 brought some more great results from Tulamben, where this year’s AFA Depth National Championships are being held. Conditions were good: no current and a calm, flat surface awaited competitors.
Highlights
Thibault Guignes dived to 95m Free Immersion (FIM).

South Africa has a new National Record in Constant Weight No Fins (CNF). MJ Kuhn swam down to 56m unassisted, feeling the burn on the way up but he told me he felt confident that there’s more fuel in his tank. Freediving in South Africa has been a bit quiet over the last few years, but this might all begin to change. Beth Neale is also planning something special in the near future so check DeeperBlue for more details soon.

Amber Bourke set a new Australian National Record in CNF too- 58m!

Mikhael Dominico set a CNF record of 42m for Indonesia, the host country.

Komtanoo Pinpimai (Kem) from Thailand also set a new CWT record with 70m.

Full Results and line up for Day 3
