Freediving Emergency Medical Responder Instructor Course Launched In Seoul

The first Freediving Emergency Medical Responder Instructor Course (FEMRI) took place in Seoul, South Korea, as a result of a partnership between The Diver Medic and AIDA.

The course aims to provide high-quality first aid training specifically designed for freedivers.

The initial course was conducted by the only active AIDA FEMR Instructor trainers, Brian and Catherine Crossland and Chantelle Newman. The course had 18 participants from various countries, including Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

The course provides a welcome addition to any freediver’s arsenal, giving them the skills and knowledge to deal with most emergencies they may face. Due to the success of the course and interest, there are two more Instructor courses planned in the Philippines and China in March 2020.

If you’re attending this year’s DEMA Show, you can visit booth 1177 to find out more information.

You can email Cathrine Crossland for more information here.
