GoPro junkies rejoice! The company this week unveiled its latest line of hi-def video cameras, the HERO4. There are two new models – the HERO4 Black which features Ultra-High Definition 4K video at 30 frames per second (fps), a redesigned audio system and an improved user interface with new manual controls. The HERO4 Silver features a built-in touchscreen. Finally the company has released a budget version of the camera called the HERO.
GoPro Founder and CEO Nicholas Woodman says:
“For the past twelve years, our passion has been to make it easy for people to self-capture jaw dropping, professional quality footage of themselves engaged in their favorite activities. That passion led us to embark on our most ambitious design and engineering effort ever, and the result is nothing short of the ultimate GoPro — the HERO4 Black. We can’t wait to see what the world captures with it.”
The HERO4 will be available on October 5th for US$499 HERO4 Black and the US$399 HERO4 Silver. The budget version HERO will retail for US$129. All models will be available on GoPro.com and at select retailers worldwide.
