Italian Freedivers set new depths

-

On Saturday 21st September, Alessandro Rignani Lolli (member of the Italian national team in Nice and Ibiza) set a new World Record in constant ballast. He made it to 88 meters in 2′ 20”.

There are continuing differences of opinion between Italian Freedivers (regarded as one of the homes of Freediving) and AIDA after the last World Championships. As such AIDA is not recognising Alessandro’s record.

Gianluca Genoni, who’s attempting a new world record in variable ballast on Saturday 28th Sept and will attempt to go to 132 meters, also announced on Saturday that he will also try to break the CB limit.
