Nation’s Attic Historic Diving Equipment Auction Announced

The Nation’s Attic has announced its latest online diving equipment auction, which will take place on December 10, 2022.

A host of diving equipment will be featured, including some rare and historic diving helmets. Highlights from the 135 lots available for sale include:

  • The second oldest US Navy helmet dating back from 1916, which is the prototype for the famed US Navy Mark V helmet.
  • A Mark V helmet with a rich history going back to its use on the USS Arizona in 1943.
  • A rare Mark V “Widow Maker” diving helmet

The auction will also feature a wide range of non-US diving helmets, including models from the UK, Russia and Japan as well as other pieces of diving equipment.

In addition, the auction feature some of the personal belonging of one of the first 100 US Navy SEALs, including:

  • A 1964 Rolex Submariner.
  • A 1943 diving helmet
