Ukrainian Photographer and Model Create Images To Support Their Country

A Ukrainian photographer and model have taken a series of inspiring photographs to help support Ukraine in its fight against Russia’s invasion.

The photographer Kateryna Terets headed to Roatan to take some inspiring photos, wherein, a twist of fate, she met fellow Ukrainian Nastia Kubrak, who was stranded on the island in the wake of the war in Ukraine and unable to head home. The two got along and created some positive shots to support their country.

Terets hopes that the images she creates will bring attention to Ukraine’s plight and motivate people to donate to the various charities helping Ukrainians.

Commenting on her work, Terets stated:

“I was toying with the idea of doing some underwater photography with models. But I wanted to do something to honor and represent my country. So I ordered special props and costumes in Ukrainian colors and was prepared to do some special shoots.”

Referring to Nastia, she added:

“She was a natural…She understood what I was trying to do and did a great job. The colors pop and the shots turned out rather dramatic. Now, it’s time for us to use these photos to draw attention to what is happening in Ukraine.”
