Yasemin Dalkilic to attempt new World Record!

“After many months of training, hundreds of e-mails and phone calls back and forth with the organizers, Yasemin is finally in Egypt ready to get back in the water and start the dives for her new world record. On July 15th, in Hurgada, the Red Sea, Yasemin will attempt to break her own world record in the Limited Variable Ballast category. As a result of the admiration that Yasemin feels for the history of Egypt, she decided to make the depth of her record 105 meters. This depth is the equivalent of the height of the Red Pyramid in Dashur, one of the oldest and most recognized symbols of Egyptian history.

To coordinate and organize all technical and logistical concerns related to this event, Yasemin and her team have chosen the best diving operation in the Red Sea. Divers Lodge, based in Hurghada, Egypt, will be in charge of dealing with all the complex diving support required for a project of this kind and to ensure Yasemin’s safety at all times. Divers Lodge is a full service dive operation and their staff of experienced divers will become Yasemin’s safety team. The headquarters for the event will be the Inter Continental Hotel in Hurghada, which will provide lodging for all members of the team and pressrooms and facilities for all media activities. Yasemin’s main sponsor is the international conglomerate Quantum, a manufacturer of diving and precision watches, who has supported her since the beginning of her career. Other Sponsors will be onboard for this exciting event soon.
