AIDA’s Board Seeks New Secretary

If you’re a freediver who’s passionate about the sport and want to help grow one of its main governing bodies, AIDA is looking for a volunteer to serve on its board and take on the role of Secretary.

Here’s the official job description:

  • “The Secretary shall be the official recipient of all notices to AIDA, its Assembly and Executive Board, and is responsible for communicating all notices to the Assembly and/or Executive Board, as applicable.
  • “Responsible for maintaining all corporate records for AIDA, including minutes of all meetings of the Assembly and Executive Board (monthly meetings), along with all actions and/or approvals of such entities (take notes and centralize the records of all Board votes, approvals and decisions).
  • “Manage the AIDA DropBox storage space to ensure all AIDA docs are centralized and kept in order.”

Since then, John has dived in a volcanic lake in Guatemala, among white-tipped sharks off the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, and other places including a pool in Las Vegas helping to break the world record for the largest underwater press conference.
