Vancouver, BC 18:00 EDT – Stephan Whelan reports from the event site that today’s first CW diver, Ryuzo Shinomiya (JPN), subscribing to 75m, was disqualified for blackout at the surface. George Georgas (GRE)was also DQ’d, for loss of motor control. Potential DQ’s under review included Mario Gomes (IND) with 1 red card, and Ananda Escudero (IND) with 3 reds, 1 yellow and 1 white. Escudero’s issues may relate to physical contact with a coach after top time, and a dispute as to the actual depth at which the tag was retrieved.
