Slow breathing…
Relaxed body position…
Getting ready to start a dive…
Last deep inhale…
Duck dive…
Eyes closed…
Kicking down, into the blue…
Up until today, how many times have you performed this routine and how many times you have ran these scenarios in our mind? Dozen of times? Hundreds? Thousands?
The feeling of being down there brings sheer pleasure, doesn’t it? Even being somewhere remote we tend to watch spearfishing videos to experience this ‘watered-down’ version of pull-the-trigger adrenaline-kick. But simply watching other people shoot the fish is a mere entertainment with very little personal gain to us.
Enters a child of the Deep Spearfishing Encyclopedia – (you) Hold, Dive, Shoot. A series aimed to not only show you beautiful underwater scenes but also to make you a better spearo.
A trilogy of short films first gets you in the mood for deeper underwater and then gives you a chance to join me on my trips into the DEEP. Literally. Once the video starts, you have 2 minutes for a correct breath-up. Whats a breath-up? Watch and learn… Upon completion of a breath-up you take a full inhale and hold your breath.
You CAN make it through those 3 dives. Are you ready to start?
First dive is a relatively simple (nonetheless, breathtaking) one. Relax, get ready. A beautiful AJ, a great scene against the sun.
Now that you are properly warmed up, lets take it deeper.
How about a dive to 39meters? Hold the breath and join the ride
The best for last! The ABSOLUTELY best for last.
Few hints?
- 42 meters deep
- Beautiful visibility
- Beautiful shot
Get ready. Get deeper.
Sooooo? First of all – congrats on having a proper training. How did it feel?
What about the fish? The last one was majestic, wasn’t it?
It would be great if you could leave your feedback or share the videos with your friends. You want to have competent buddies, right?
