EXCLUSIVE: Faces Of Freediving Series – Vertical Blue Edition

A DeeperBlue.com Special Feature

Join DeeperBlue.com and Photographer Tim Calver on the unique and exclusive photo series “Faces Of Freediving”.  This first edition of the series travels to the sandy shores of Deans Blue Hole in the Bahamas during the Vertical Blue 2016.  The international gathering of World Champions, National record holders, athletes and support crew posed for studio-lit portraits upon the completion of their dives.

Click through the gallery above to see the portraits in their full glory.

This unique project was jointly developed by DeeperBlue.com and Tim Calver and the hope is that this is the start of a longer term project to showcase some of the Freediving worlds top athletes.

“I have long worked as an underwater photographer” says Tim “and it was strange to travel all the way to Dean’s Blue Hole without and underwater camera.  But faces and portraits are a new focus of mine.  I was thrilled to launch the public debut of this part of my career within the friendly family and beautiful faces of the freediving community.”

Tim is water based photographer who does his best work on a single breath.  He has worked for some of the top lifestyle, travel, environmental and dive publications including Time Magazine, Caribbean Travel & Life, Scuba Diving Magazine, National Geographic Adventure, Discovery Channel Online and DeeperBlue.com.
