The folks at SEA&SEA recently announced that the DX-6G compact digital camera and underwater housing set is now available for purchase.
The 6G camera sports a 5x zoom lens that can produce high-definition and crystal-clear images, plus a 16-megapixel CMOS together with a high-performance image engine that results in low noise and wide dynamic range images.
The camera is also equipped with macro mode, where you can take pictures as close as 1cm/0.4 inches to the subject without a close-up lens, enabling an enlarged picture of small objects.
It also records 264/30fps high-definition movies, and can be hooked via HDMI cable to a television.
Additionally, the 6G is quipped with an “Underwater Mode” for optimum photos and videos, using white balance optimized for underwater photos, making colors appear more natural by adding reds that tend to get lost in photos taken under water.
The DX-6G housing is depth rated to 55m/180ft, rugged, lightweight and compact. A wide-angle conversion lens is also available.
The DX-6G set retails for US$699.95/~633.44 Euros. For more information, go to the SEA&SEA website.
