The summer camp SeaTrek BVI has announced it is teaming up with NAUI to offer teens even more opportunities during this year’s camp.
The partnership will allow teens to take part in NAUI dive training during the camps, which are held in the British Virgin Islands and the Caribbean.
SeaTrek BVI has a Course Director Trainer, a Course Director and Four Instructor Trainers on staff, who can offer participants the broadest possible range of courses. Previous camp attendee and NAUI Instructor Alexander Buckner stated:
“SeaTrek gave me a chance to pursue something I care about. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the ocean in a way most people will never get to experience.”
SeaTrek BVI Program Director and NAUI Instructor Kelsey Hillman said:
“SeaTrek has been a life changing experience for me. It taught me how to work in a team, manage my time and become a competent young adult. SeaTrek did not only allow me to grow my scuba skills from open water to instructor but it allowed me to enhance my life skills from lessons in the galley (kitchen) to being respectful towards others and our environment.”
Seatrek camps run for 21 days and allow teens the opportunity to participate in a host of watersports and education about the marine environment. Apart from the camps, Seatrek hosts several annual social gatherings; the next will be held in Illinois on March 2, 2019.
