Swedish freedivers Yamina Enedahl-Mekki and Ulf Dextegen have been voted the best pool-freedivers2009 at the Swedish Championships in Upplands-Väsby. Yamina andUlf won gold medals after the points were summed up in the threepool disciplines, Static Apnea, Dynamic Apnea without fins and DynamicApnea with fins.
Moreover, two new Swedish records were set. Former swimmer and “rookie”Sofia Tapani, from Gothenburg, set a new Swedish record in DynamicApnea without fins with a distance of 114 metres, and Per Westin from Umeå set a new recordin Dynamic Apnea with fins by finning 202 meters in front of an audience of 100 people inUppsala.
