“A Croatian freediver has set a new world record depth of 45 meters (148.5 feet) in Norway’s ice-covered Bunne fjord south of Oslo, reports AFP.
He appeared to suffer a blackout and stopped breathing when he surfaced, but later recovered in hospital.
According to their team leader, Steinar Flaatteng, the record was official and will appear in the Guiness Book of Records, but we are attempting to verify the attempt and certifying body.
