Young FreeDiver nearly dies

17 year-old FreeDiver, Taylor Smith, from Daytona USA nearly died after trying to FreeDive in a cave system in mid-June 2006.

Smith gulped a carbon dioxide-filled pocket of air inside the cave system at Blue Springs and suffered a seizure on his way to the surface. With the help of other divers, his brother dragged his Smith from the water and immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation, hoping to kick-start a pulse.

It seems that despite at least two other incidents in 2002, where amateur FreeDivers attempted to dive in the caves, has not put off Smith.
