Amber Bourke Calls Off Freediving World Record Attempt

After a failed attempt at the Women’s Constant Weight No Fins (CNF) World Record on Monday, Australian Freediver Amber Bourke has called off her second attempt today after coming down with a cold.

Posting an update on her Facebook Page, that you can see below, Bourke explained that she woke up with a head cold and despite a comfortable warm-up dive, she couldn’t make it past 50m / 164ft.

Bourke remains upbeat and stated to her fans “I’m sorry I can’t deliver the world record this time but I can say for sure you haven’t seen the end of me yet.”
