Caribbean Cup Day Five – The Mexican Double

Day five saw the penultimate day of competition at the 2015 Caribbean Freediving Cup and the National Records continue to fall.  Mexico achieved a double with new records for both Alejandro Lemus and Estrella Navarro.  Honduras and Chile were also in the record breaking books with strong performances from Edgardo Andrade and Daniel Arias respectively.

Highlights from that day:

  • Alejandro Lemus from Mexico improved on his FIM performance to reset the National Record with a 98m Free Immersion (FIM) dive
  • Edgardo Andrade achieved a 60m Constant Weight (CWT) National Record for Honduras
  • Estrella Navarro got the second National Record for Mexico with a 51m Constant Weight No Fins (CNF)
  • Daniel Arias from Chile got a new National Record with 52m Constant Weight No Fins (CNF)
