Registration is now open for the annual Nirvana Oceanquest 2018 freediving competition.
The competition will be held between May 3 and May 9, 2018, in the waters off San Andreas Island, Colombia.
The island offers ideal conditions for freedivers on its western side. The water around it are known as the “Mar de Siete Colores,” which translates as “Seven-Coloured Sea,” due to the variable depths around the island.
This year’s Nirvana Oceanquest has the following:
- Free Oxygen for DCS/and Barotraumas.
- 12 mm Dyneema very low stretch rope.
- World Record status.
- Deep filming Underwater.
In addition, if you want to train up for the event, you can do so from March 1, 2018. The training days will also include the availability of the necessary medical equipment. Early bird registration for the event costs US$625/€511 instead of the usual price of $725/€593.
